Having a high level of curiosity allows the brain to retain a greater amount of information. The information the brain has gathered in the past is necessary for making connections in the future. Without a desire to learn and a careful attention to detail, finding connections efficiently becomes more difficult. This is because the brain simply has less to work with.
Because our desire to learn influences how much we learn, it is important to sustain our curiosity in all aspects of life. Training the brain to wonder and ask why, not only brings us closer to answers, but keeps us in awe of all there is to know.
