Highlighting strengths is the way to building credibility and trust. Bringing strengths to the forefront of a persuasive conversation sounds like common sense, but for a presenter whose focus is on growth, highlighting strengths (instead of highlighting all) may feel like the narrowing of specialization. It is important to remember that the audience has the capacity to remember you for something—not for everything. Presenting the big idea, the strength, gives the audience a digestible entrée. Everything else should reveal itself as a complementary side.
